ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Job Description

We are seeking suitably qualified professionals to join our firm. You will be involved in expanding our accounting portfolio. Specifically, you will have direct responsibility as follows:

  • Oversee the development of accounting department, including sourcing for clientele.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality accounting and tax services.
  • Review, monitor and control work of accounting and tax staff.
  • Coach, train and develop staff to upgrade their knowledge or skills.
  • Achieve team and individual budgets and business plan/performance objectives.
  • Carry out practice management activities e.g. manage project financials including budgets, WIPs, timely billing and collection and variance recognition etc.
  • Liaise with government authorities, bankers, auditors, tax agents and company secretaries.
  • Provide additional assistance and guidance to clients on consultancy basis, where required, and deliver added value.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification and/or a Bachelor degree with at least 6 years of work experience in the same line.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills including experience with leading teams of at least 5 team members.
  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Based in Kuala Lumpur, but may require some travelling to Singapore.
